Is the proportioning valve/brake saver working correctly? We replaced mine this summer. The brakes worked, but the rears didn't work well. We bled them with a vacuum system and someone pumping the pedal, but they still didn't work right. Then we changed the master cylinder, as it didn't look great (old fluid) and was quicker and easier to swap than rebuild. I was still having issues - the proportional valve (brass-looking unit mounted under the rad and super easy to get at
) was almost stuck, but not completely. Changed it and had the brakes properly bled in 30 minutes.
