Body Mount Position 1 not seating

Im replacing the body mount in position 1 under the front of the door on my 84 Blazer and I am having a wicket time getting the bottom mount to fit onto the top one. Ive got the weight of the whole cab and a threaded rod that can't get them to seat. I must not be aligned correctly?!

You may need to loosen them all to get it aligned.
