I have a 1978 k10, I took apart the gauge cluster one time to replace the lights, when I put it back the gauge stopped working, every time I turn the truck on the gauge maxes out at 230, just goes straight to 230 and stays there. Does anybody know what causes this? Is it a bad sensor? Please let me know.

Of it didn't do it before you took the cluster apart. I very seriously doubt a sensor went bad while you were disassembling the cluster. It seems to me you need to retrace what you've done make sure you hooked everything back up maybe have to pull the cluster again and give it a hoid once over.
