Hmm, might need 3” lift spring then… I measured the bottom of leaf perch to metal part of bumpstop mount at 8.5”
My fronts just have an add a leaf, lift thing, there pretty much flat. I think my rear block is 3". No idea what the front lift actually is. It was like that when I got it. I can send a pic if you want to see how mine sits. I even believe my rear springs are kind of sacked out

On the 15"x8" Rallys. I like the look of wider tires in the back. Looking into 235/70/15 in the front and 275/60/15 outback. 28" tall tires. B.F. Goodrich T/A will be my choice. Don't think you can go wrong with the look of those tires.

i dunno if anyone has said this but Good year duratrek 10plys At best ******* tires in the world for mud and snow absolutely amazing I've run them on the last two trucks I've had One of my trucks is a complete piece of **** people would still walk up to me and say tires looked awesome because they are pretty stylish too

They do get good traction and treadlife.
But they are louder than a set of Swampers. I would never intentionally buy them for a rig that gets a lot of on pavement miles.

This morning I voted with my debit card, I voted for the Cooper. Installed a set of Cooper STT Pro in 33x12.50 on the '87. If anyone wants to know, this truck has 2 inch blocks in the rear and as of these pics about 3 and 3/8s of front lift. I am about to go pick up a new set of front leaf springs so that will hopefully drop to about a 2.5 inch lift in the front.

Oh man I must've missed this one, it's been a few years since I've needed new tires. They do look different. Wow not really a fan. Was it pretty recent (last couple years)?
It's probably been 3 or 4 years now. They started phasing in the new shoulder design over the course of a year or so. From what I remember anyway.

I know I'm plat to the party, but better late than never.

BFG changed from the KO's to the KO2's in late 2016 or early 2017, so about 5 years ago.

I have set of KO2's on my '85 K10 from 2017 and @AuroraGirl has a set of original KO's on one of her rigs from 2016.

I love my BFG's and plan to buy a set for my K20 when the time comes.

A year and a half ago after scouting a new field for goose hunting, I found this sticking out the side wall of my rear passenger's side tire (BFG). It was really jammed in there, and survived the 30+ mile drive home after scouting. I wish I'd have taken a picture of it still in the tire, but I was concerned when I noticed it. I couldn't pull it out by hand, and had to use vice grips.

The tire never leaked or required any attention. After that experience, I'm a believer in the KO2s!

Good luck to the OP with the Cooper Discoverers! I had Coopers on my first square, but that truck went up in smoke before the tires wore out. Never had any complaints with them though.

BFG all the way!! OP didnt say if it was for 4 x 4 or 2 x 4 truck. BFG LT LOAD RANGE E will last a long time and look good too.

I'm still running that tire daily. Thousands of miles later. No plug(s) were needed.

BFG claimed the sidewall tread was designed that way on purpose to help tip/guide potential hazards away from just getting jammed straight up into the sidewall:

The tire manufacturer claims that the KO2 sidewall is 20 per cent stronger than the original KO tire, and incorporates an advanced deflection system designed to prevent protruding objects, such as pointy branches, from snagging and splitting the sidewall.

:shrug:

I've had excellent luck with the all terrains and the last 2 sets of KM3s. I've proven time and time again my KM3s can keep up with Interco IROK tires in super deep snow and in the dirt/hill climbing. Almost everyone else in the off road club is running IROKs now. I'm a non-conformist. Although I don't play in deep mud anymore. :rolleyes: I don't like all the cleanup later.

Sadly just 2 now. The front 2 were getting quite bald anyway. the rear two are OK tread wise but they will be dry rotted before I wear them. One of the front tires had broke a belt but that was likely from being old ass tires that sat in the sun for a couple years before I put them to plow duty lol.
I only have 2 instead of 3 because I had same diameter matching tires to put on front axle. for now that is.

I know this is an old thread but thought I would chime in in case anyone finds it. I used to run Coopers until I had a bad experience with their customer service/warranty. After that I won't buy another set. My wife had a Dodge Journey and we put a set of Coopers on it at Tire Barn. They did rotations every 6-8K miles. The tires had between 18-20K miles on them and I pulled in for a rotation one day. After about 15 minutes they came in and said they couldn't rotate them because on 2 of the tires, the tread was so low they weren't allowed to do anything to them (I don't remember what their spec. was). Anyway they called Cooper to see about a warranty as they had been rotated as they should be and were wearing way too fast. Cooper would only pro rate the tire warranty and was going to give me $70.00 credit for 2 of the tires. (I had spent just under $700.00 for the set less then a year ago.). The real kick in the balls was they were only going to give me the "warranty" 70.00 if I bought 4 brand new tires. They said since I had an AWD vehicle they would not replace only two of the tires, and I had to buy 4 new ones. So I spent 700.00 on a set of tires less than a year prior and under 20K miles, and they told me I could buy another 700.00 set of tires and they would give me 140.00 back. After several weeks of back and forth with them on the phone they would not budge. So I moved the bad two to the back and drove them another year as is and went somewhere else and bought a different brand. Their service and warranty people were horrible to deal with.
I must admit in all my years of driving and all my vehicles I have never had to use a tire warranty, so the likelyhood of it being an issue is slim to none. But I won't go back knowing that if it happened a gain I would be stuck.

few things
1) They have been bought by goodyear and that means its already under 'New" ownership, so take that as you will
2)they were more willing to work with you than a lot of tire manufacturers would have
3) you had 2 tires on the same axle worn equally in excess of the other axle. Im sorry but the likelihood of that being their fault is not very high
4) accidentally not rotating or purposefully not rotating the tires as the shop supposedly did is a great way to encourage someone to be upset at the tire manufacturer when they are being told the service was spot on and then one even tries to look at the warranty process for those companies.
5) awd journey is money bags for those tires, and customer is now in the market for new tires.
what year was this journey? THe first gen was low qualit and had known inherently damning flaws esp with AWD ones.
what kind of weather, what kind of driving, what kind of braking, and what kind of tire model? what size? also wear like that I would have an alignment verified
