for potential ideas for people, I BELIEVE this is the factory tray for a prev gen gm truck to 72, correct me if IM wrong, but it was bolted into my square by my grandpa

do you have any means to protect it from ESD?I would find one of those slim profile plastic holders that encases it with a air flow path so that its got a physical barrier, just in case

Good point. I've had it like that for 2yrs now but added protection would be a plus.

My donor came with the same fuse box as yours. I rewired mine and removed as much as possible. Also fabd a bracket to hold my computer.

I used the original computer holding bracket (the plastic part), trimmed off the back side and mounted it to the fender well.

i only state that from personal experience with a similar Delphi PCM

pretty close in design and it didnt seem to suffer but i had alternator wiring to it incorrectly hooked(PCM monitored PWM of AD alternator, can command on, off, but cannot dictate duty cycle, only monitor it, the newer ones do that tho)

and i saw a spark from case to fender and was like :O

It was from ebay. I just bought it for the car I pulled the engine from. I then added a support brace from the inner fender to the tube. I didn't waste money on a k&n or airaid since I wouldn't need the air box around the filter that sits on the fender.

K. I found one that looked similar on Ebay for a Silverado. Also, how did you mount the coolant tank, I received mine today.

Never mind, as soon as I lifted the hood I knew where to mount it.

It is also from the donor. I mounted it on the fender similar to how the original one was. Carriage type bolts through the fender. I had to heat the legs a little to change the angle to follow the curve of the fender.

Never mind, as soon as I lifted the hood I knew where to mount it.

Ok. It's a tight fit once the ac compressor is installed too.

I can always move it if I have too. I'll be heating up the longer leg to get it to mold to the fender.
