anything to look out for on newer Burbs?

Priced a little high but that is definitely nice!! About the same shape as my '87. I like it and I've always been a fan of dark greens combined with tan

Maybe a little high, but 4x4.

Back to the search for NBS or nnbs

:word: and definitely worth considering. Surprised it's that nice up in Montana
Billings is nearly desert, plus they don't salt in MT. I go to Billings a few times a year, just not soon enough :(

A few more questions

1. In the NBS, the seats don't flip fully forward? I can't seem to find a good picture of that.
2. Was it only 3/4t that came with the 4l80 trans?
3. Strength/durability of the 4l60 still has me a bit worried.

No, they don't flip fully forward but they do flip "mostly" forward. My dad had an 04 and do remember that about it.

And yes I think you're correct that the 3/4 ton is the only one that got the 4L80. I know the 4L60 gets a bad wrap and it probably isn't the top trans out there but really for the most part it's not bad. I've never had a single issue out of ours. I think people run into issues cuz they use it to tow a lot and abuse it without the proper care and so they fail. If you're going to tow much then I'd definitely go the 4L80 route or at the very least put a trans cooler on the 4L60. We never tow a thing and just do normal driving whether in town or on the hwy with no issue

I need to go find a used 05/06 I think and just see what they look like inside :)

at this point no plans to tow for at least the next few years, but that could change too. I would do a tranny cooler no matter what as they are cheap insurance to keep temps down.

the Denali's of 2007+ got the 6l80? but then i am stuck with AWD and I don't think i really want that, plus hard to find one with a 2nd row bench (not even sure that config exists)

trying to find a good source of all the variations but some of this stuff is approaching 9 years old so information isn't as easy to find as new models.

Yes, in the 2007+ it's the 6L80 trans that comes in the Denali. As far as a second row bench in a Denali I'm not sure if that was an option or not to tell you the truth. I know I've never seen one with that configuration but that doesn't mean they aren't out there. With that said, there are always people looking to go from captains to bench and vice versa so some times you can get people to trade you for the set up if you're wanting a second row bench. OR scour eBay and CL for a second row bench out of a 2007+ kon/hoe/burb. From what I understand it's a fairly easy swap to complete. Same goes for the NBS as well.

I watched a video on it, it looks pretty easy to do since the seat belts bolt into the frames and not the floor

Yep....I've always heard that it is. Downside is the seats can be pricey but if you're able to do a straight trade or turn around and sell the seats you took out it should be free (or close to it) when all is said and done.

Dealer called me on that 11 I looked at a few weeks ago. Still no one wants it and they won't budge on price. But the more I look there are others out there with more things I would actually want, so not really interested in it unless they came down to about the 24k range, which isn't going to happen on an 11 with DVD and moonroof. Things that I don't care about.

So clean underneath though
