In my experience, the ones in the old dash have enough tension in them left to hold the new dash in place. It's easy to lose them during the removal process, if you're not careful though. A body shop was kind enough to help me out when I lost a clip, so I didn't have to wait for one to come in the mail.If you buy an original style dash pad you will need the metal clips that attach it to the front of the metal dash frame. I think there are 5 or 6.
