I used bulbs from superbright leds and it came out very nice, and the dimming function works fine. I’d have to look for the receipt to remember what I did for the hvac light that is different. I used lower lumen lights for the turn signals and high beam indicator, but they are still quite bright.

I also have an led in the cab dome light and it’s way brighter than the footwell lights.

already

Thanks sir

Super bright LED CS says that there is no equivalent for the floor well bayonet style bulb because of the base size. Original is in inches and all new LED are MM. said if I bought an LED for it I would have to bend the socket out to get it to fit. Decided to leave those two bulbs incandescent. Ordered the dash l cluster lights from them today

So @Ron Sebastian am I understanding you correctly, just plug in 194 LED bulbs into the cluster for that look and color?

It's that easy. I would suggest getting dimm-able bulbs. Did not want to dig into the radio, so that is still white (original). Transfer case bulb is also plug and play like the console.

Maybe its just me but I just leave my dash lights at the same brightness all the time. I have the LED replacements to go in but was just looking for a brighter light, guess I shoulda thought more about "dimability"....we will see when I get them installed

My courtesy lights are like all the other main tail and turn signal bulbs, more like the reverse light bulb, since it has just a single post on the bottom and it's just a standard barrel type bulb. 1156 or whatever they are.

Ive had very good luck with sylvania led's and I haven't had any issues with them, as in compatibility.

Superbrightled.com has several 194 bulbs listed.

Which specific bulb did you purchase?

Thanks

I used the LMC ones , they are not very bright. I have jacked up my gauge cluster trying to improve it.

@1lejohn , I hear you. We have learned to do our research here first before just buying stuff. Made that mistake a bunch over the 2 years we have been on this project. Return shipping hurts a 16 year olds budget. The folks here have great insight , experience and the know how to help so start here in the future. Will pay big dividends
