After I pulled that intake, I saw another one already pulled laying in another truck, but it had been sitting in the weather and started to corrode a bit. I got real lucky finding this one. And I checked every threaded hole on both parts I found and they were in great shape. And I am glad you put it to me to at least try finding one. I had no idea these prices were so affordable. And only $2 to get in the gate.awesome deal, I wished I could find one like that on the intake, I broke a tbi mounting bolt and had to helicoil it.
Saw a guy on another forum talking about his intake having a helicoil on each t-stat housing bolt.
from the looks of them 2 24 packs of BL you're ready to work.
Done yet?
on intake bolts it's good to use thread sealer or rtv to avoid oil seepage coming up thru the threads and laying in puddles on the intake.
Be sure to use antiseize on any bolts that are going into aluminum. A steel bolt in aluminum gall up and mess the threads up. Hell I use antiseize just about every chance I get anymore, unless it's something that needs thread locker.
I can get most of the stupid stuff out of the way Friday night and do the bull work Sat.Let's get this thing going!!!! I'll be over with the beer by 6 pm on Friday!
