After looking at the sticker in the door jamb, and thinking about the rim that my old spare is mounted on, it dawned on me that my truck originally had 8 inch wide wheels with the hubcaps, instead of the 6 inch wide set that I have now. I think this is the look that I want, but I only have one rim. Does anyone know of a source for the wheels, or how rare they are? I need at least three.

Followed your link and saw 16's, and I did find some 6 lug 15's but it didn't look like they had the nubs for the hubcaps. But I didn't have time to look through all the pages. I called my dad and got him on the case, if there's a set within 100 miles of him hell track them down lol. If there's an old car or truck nearby hell find it.

Found some wheels locally and some 2wd caps. Has anyone ever cut a set of caps to fit over the front lockout hubs?

Back in the day, my dad had a 75 he bought new. He had a thing about full wheel covers, so he replaced the stock hubcaps with different ones. Think they came off a caprice. He used these so they would fit over the front hub. When I got the truck later and converted the transfer case to 2wd, I used a hole saw to cut the centers out of the hubcaps so they would fit over the lock outs. Not hard to do at all. Find the center and use the appropriate sized hole saw.
