you aint using those nice chrome headers?

pretty sure how that line is is how it's routed factory I got the TA ones around here somewhere.

Also I figured that core leaked and ruined that floor. I know after I put headers on it and ran it I kept getting coolant dripped on my face from it.

Not sure about the header situation yet. The collectors on the chrome ones are kind of at an odd angle and the driver's side may interfere with the clutch slave cylinder. I also think the primaries are smaller than the painted ones I got. With my recent findings on the '77 K5, those chrome ones may end up on that instead.

Lol, we'll see how it goes. When it's ready to slide the whole deal under the Camaro, I'll see how they fit. But the K5 will need new headers too, if the cam is actually still good. The headers that were on it, got donated to the C10. Then when the C10 got the big block, those headers made it down to you :)

Any progress on this thing?

Nope, not lately. Other projects have kept me occupied, but at least I have a good excuse this time. In the past, it was just neglect, lol.

The other day when I was cleaning up the area behind my garage, I did find the original fuel line though. I really don't remember removing it, but apparently I did. But anyway, I was happy to find out I routed the new line properly.

Camaro got any love lately?

Nothing at all lately. Since August 17th or so, I've only been home for a total of 4 days and I worked one of those days too. I probably won't have time to work on anything again until December sometime, unfortunately.

Well, December has come and I haven't done much, lol. Been out of town a lot though, had another kid, etc.

But I got a killer deal on a brand new set of rear springs. It's 100% going to be an experiment, because they are steel monoleaf springs meant for a '67-'69 car. I know they are soft and I don't plan to use them as-is. They are 2.25 inches wide, so I'm going to try adding in a leaf from from a G-van. I think I can get them to work well enough all-around, especially if I can get the slapper bars set up well.

Finally starting a thread for this car, mostly because I'm finally working on it, lol. This is the '79 Camaro RS that I picked up earlier this year, from Swims350.

On the way home:

The plan right now is to focus on the bodywork. I originally wanted to get it running and driving first, but I have yet to nail down any plans on the drivetrain.
Those fatties look SICK on the back!!

Yeah, it reminds me of what so many cars looked like when I was younger. They won't stay though. A while back, I picked up a full set of C6 Z51 Corvette brakes from Viktor, so 15's aren't going to fit at all. Looking at running a 18x9-ish up front and an 18x10 or 11 out back.
