I'm trying to find a guy I know of had a 77 Camaro that was wiped out on the passenger side. I'm gonna see if he still has it, and if he does, gonna see if can cut you some metal out of it.. Surely it won't weigh much and can be shipped in a good size box.
This one reason, I have keep my burnt cab. The cab corners and rockers are still good. They were spared from the fire too. I can cut the cab corner and rockers out all in one piece. The floor pan is good too. I'd rather cut OEM metal out of body to the exact oversize I choose. I think that way the piece will fit my custom needs better, less pieces and likley better quality metal than aftermarket replacement panels.
I am going to do the same thing to patch blue bed I got too. I am now keeping that bed since I sold the Burb for the 84C20.
So if you can' take a better pic of your mangled metal. Zoom out a bit for a wider view. Then I have an idea how big of a piece you need. If I find this guy, and he still has it, I'm almost sure he'd let me have it for FREE.
