You like that huh??? Look at what the valley looked like. The machinist told me the block was junk. Rust was way to bad and would never come off except if the motor was built and had oil running thru it, the rust would start to break away in the oil and score the cylinders and trash the bearing within the first 100 miles of use.

But NO, you can't ban the said Mod, since he took that "junk" motor that the machinist said was a lost cause and turned it into this...

Yep. That's the Olds 425 block I did. Now you see the before and after. The **** works !!! Don't ever tell me something can't be done or something is junk. It can't be done, or its not junk, until I say so. :Sumo:

I bought that complete motor with a 67 Turbo 400 that has Variable Pitch stall converter only used from 64-67. I bought both as 1 piece out of pasture for $20. I still have the heads, the crank, and the transmission of course. I sold that bare block as it was pictured there all cleaned up for $200. Its a very rare block for the Olds 425 that had the good size lifter bore and common cam bank angle. It had all the good stuff, not one or the other like most 425's have. Sold to an Olds guru. He jumped on it and loved it. I thought he was gonna sex it up right in front of me while he was looking it over.
