Needle and seat replaced and idle fuel mix set back to stock. Also stuffed a bit of steel wool in to the exhaust. Rode around just a bit, but it likes to stall at low speed.

Did you use a wire in all the little passages? Mine had a lot of gunk and poo in them, even after sitting overnight in Chemdip.

I went the lazy route. Will probably get back to it with full disassembly if it is still acting up.

Yeah I've had some success just running fuel through them for a time.

It is slowly clearing up. Just letting it warm up and ride down the street a bit. It is still prone to stalling, so idle is set high.

This thing decided to somewhat give up. Was running this morning and suddenly just died to never start again. Has fuel and weak looking spark.

Bad coils or loose connection maybe? Still feels like its got compression?

Has compression and spark is now fully gone. Need to start tracing the ignition side of the wiring. Was very random, just idling in the driveway and then no more spark

I had that xv920 quit me at a gas station before. Took it all apart chasing wires at the station. Still couldnt get it n had a buddy trailer it. Long story short, it ended up being the kill switch wireing. The metal connecter was loose in the plastic conecter and had pulled in two without being visible. Maybe somethin like that. Sounds to me like a wire has rattled out of contact somewhere. Dont forget grounds too. Cant find nothin else id try another known good set of coils. Hope u gettit, good luck!

The kill switch is on a suspects list. Especially with elec tape poking out from the side

Still no go, but brake light switch is now fixed. Opened it and cleaned the contacts.
It does have spark, but looks weak. Supposed to look weak according to the forums. Good voltage at the coil. Seem to have fuel, draining fuel bowl on each carb pulls fresh fuel from the tank. But not even an attempt of fire.

Only thing i can think of is fuel mix being altered by a vac leak or plugged carb passage. Or timing chain jumped(if ohc) but i feal like it would still try to pop off idk but good luck.

Well, it is back to running state. Rides fine, but idle and off throttle very rich. Also tires are older than dirt.
