I have a 6.2/700r4 combo I got very cheap to replace the 305/sm465 in my c20, problem I didn't realize when I got it, there's no water pump pulley. It's got the double belt for the power steering pump. I have a pulley off a small block that has 2 grooves that'll line up with the power steering and then one for the alternator, problem is the center dowel is too big on the 6.2, anyone drilled it bigger to fit? Or is there another available option? I looked on ebay, they have 6.2 pulleys but none of them look right for my setup

A quick web search turns up pulleys for the 6.2 in at least 3 different designs, priced down to $10 + shipping. I suppose you could drill it, but the hole is what locates the pulley on the shaft, so you'd have to be pretty accurate.

I only found one online, it was over 100 bucks, I'll do some more googling and see

That's the one that's on my '83. At least 2 have sold on Ebay in the last couple months. Try searching for what it is, without the part number, because most folks selling a used one don't have the part number. I'm seeing 3 others with the different size pulleys in different locations, so you'll have to sort through the search results to find the one you need.

Or drill the one you have; should work OK if you're careful, and if it doesn't, you haven't really lost anything.

Or take the opportunity to convert to a serpentine belt, but that's more work and money.

I drilled the center bigger, was about to drill the stud holes bigger because of the shoulder on the studs... them the guy I bought it from texted me and said he found the one off of it. 3 hour round drive later and I got it!
