So now I’m confused, when I swap it I have to buy a brake booster for a gas, correct? What about power steering.
No keep what’s there brake wise. You will need to get a hydraboost ps pump for a bigblock. It will have dual returns. One for the brake assist unit and one for the steering. If you look at what’s on yours now you will see what I mean. You may just need to get big block brackets.

No you don't have too. You just have an option that did not come on gas models. Whether you keep it or swap to the booster means nothing other than preference.
I have a couple. :D

If your swapping in HB make sure you have the HB pedal you’ll need it, it’s different then vacuum assist pedal.

I thought the only difference was the rod coming through the firewall.

Nope the pedal itself is different height wise. I thought I had a side by side pic. In my build thread I do I believe

Hmmmm Something else to think about if I keep my booster versus the hydra boost.

This Austin fella is wanting to marry up a drag tranny to a transfercase. If at all even possible, what would the torque be like on the stock gearing. Wheelies in the parking lot on 33s? LOL

I guess I missed the 4x part. Get the 400 rebuilt and sell the glide. Unless you want to do a divorced transfer case and you probably don’t. The 400 is a perfect match for a big block.

I'm not reading the whole thread, so If I'm reapeating something forgive me, but just to give my opinion on the first few posts I read...

Yes, keep the hydroboost since you have it. It is a stronger braking system for 1, and if you ever go with a big cam that lacks vacuum, then no worries, you still have all your brakes.

As far as the Powerglide, nawww, I'd skip it and just have the Th400 that's in the truck built. You sure it's a Th400 and not a Th350? Either way, it's cheap to have a Th400 or Th350 built. I can't imagine it's anywhere over $400 if you do the R&R (Remove and Replace) yourself. You'd probably spend close to that getting your driveshafts remade and balanced to fit the Powerglide, not to mention the adpater.

I’ve got a 700r4 connected to my np208 since I’m running 456 and 35s. Helps me get my gas mileage up to 4mpg.

I will probably just bolt it up to the one I have and save my money to buy a built turbo 400

Okay so in conclusion I’m gonna mate it up to the current tranny. So I will need just a new tc. I’m gonna need motor mounts unless the 6.2 ones will work? The radiator will work correct? Is there anything else I will need?
