Last Saturday I got the rear spring hangars done.
Having even a K20 parts frame awesome.

I was gonna do Rivets. That would take a month. Grade 8 3/8"-16 flange bolts with grade 8 flange top lock nuts
is way easier.

I am waiting for new shocks, new K30 rubber brake line and swaybar endlinks. I also need to go back to the junkyard and get the correct E-brake frame brackets. Hopefully this weekend I can start the front conversion.

Yes, the frame is different from K30 to C30. The frame pitches up steeper and goes up farther the engine mounting area. So I am bummed to find out that I cant simply use the 4x4 engine crossmember. I will have to "FABRICATE" ONE

An old friend of mine use to say "If GM engineered it it'll probably work"
I spent the weekend modifying the C30 crossmember. I think it works great for my old Home Depot cruiser.

Nobody had mentioned cabs yet, until now. Theres a difference between 4wd and 2wd cabs, and cans that have automatic and manuals.
I had a 78 C10 cab on my k10 frame, previous owner had just cut the whole hump out to make room for the big NP203.
The cab I got to replace that one was out of a 85 C30. Also made for an automatic 2wd. Floor is almost flat. Where as my blazer has a SM465 and NP203 and the trans hump is huge.
Then my 84 blaze has a TH400 and NP205 and the floor is a little flatter than the other blazer.
A friend has a 78 c20 with a Sm465 in 2wd configuration, and the front part of the floor is high and the back part is low.
Its painfully confusing. Ive worked on 6 different squarebody cans, and I swear I've seen 6 different floor designs.

As for the 85 C30 cab going on my K20, I'm just going to cut out the whole tunnel, and patch in the tunnel out of my 75 blazer. Should work. I was able to find the tall trans cover for an automatic at the junkyard.
