Waiting on Rear Driveshaft cut and Balance with new U-Joints & Carrier bearing. Then off to the exhaust shop for Factory Dual exhaust,
Almost looks like I could drive it away now. ;)

Thank You.
I was shooting for that "always been like that" look
aka stock appearance.

You're welcome. Looks like it was always like that, you'd never know. Clean for its age too.

And great job on the patched in floor hump, looks factory.
I have to do that for my 78. The cab is setup for a automatic, 2wd, and I have to make it fit a 4 speed, 4wd.

It really helps to have a Parts truck.
And the reason I bought this 77 Cheyenne is I'm the 2nd owner and its got 52k on the clock.
I wish they wouldn't have let it sit outside for 40+ years.

Been driving Ol'blue around.
New factory replica exhaust and a tune up.
After sitting since 1993 I'm finding all the leaks
It's a blast...

Attention*
I think I may have scored a 77-79 1 ton 4x4 frame.
I'm going to see it Saturday with nephew and trailer,
If it is like his pics represent I'm bringing all my work last summer was for nothing.
I'll do a Frame swap this summer. I have learned a valuable lesson. I knew I should
have found a frame but they are just not out there. When I looked around in March
of 2021 best I could find was a dude in Mass. $1000 and it was an 87 If I remember
correctly.
Do NOT do a 2x4 to 4x4 conversion. Unless your doing an Off Road/ Lifted Hot Rod
I was happy with my conversion until I went thru a dip and the Front axle made
contact with my fabricated Front crossmember. Luckily it only broke the vent tube
off the font axle.
BTW, Does anybody know where the hell I can find a Dana 60 housing vent tube??
I'll post pics of the frame when I get it.

you can use a 1980 frame you know
infact, it may have a thicker frame if you check into it. 3/4 ton c6p chassis is on par with 1 tons in a lot of ways including suspension/brake end of things, not every, but the 1 ton crew cab is bigger than those ofc

It would require fab at the rear end. The rear spring hangers, spring pads and shock mounts are different between the 3/4 ton and the 1 ton. Here's my K30.

Oh I meant for strength wise, it sounds like he had used a weaker frame and it didnt take up to the abuse possibly? but yes that still is helpful, thank you :) I just thought his year range being limited to 76-79 was a little specific or strange. unless a 1980 did something different or lacked something I wasnt aware of lol
Slip yoke 205 maybe? haha.

1 ton frame is also 10-1/4" tall instead of 7-1/4"
