I find in situations like that, (at least in snow) if i pump the brakes off n on while gassing it seems to grab and pull me out.

Tranny is a ****** ass slow engaging thing. So when you go From reverse->neutral->drive there's a little delay, I don't give a ****, I just hold it down until it grabs, gives it that nice "umpth" and the meaty tires dig in

We had mud slinging all inside the truck and everything lol

At one point we were in dry dirt doing doughnuts again, the pump got starved of fuel (low gas) and shut off the truck lol.

Lol, I have the same issue when I take the '92 Camaro out back to do donuts. It's always low on fuel due to the leaking fuel system though.

He's such a generous guy, he offered to put more gas in the truck when it shut off.

Transmission is dead asf lmao.

I let the misses drive it around for a little bit, that was the first time anyone else has ever driven my s10. She had a blast, then I went and did a high rpm neutral drop and busted either the sunshell, or destroyed the pump.

I only have reverse, or a very very weak 1st if I drop it in 1 manually.

Anyone got a recommendation for a cheap overhaul for a 4l60e?

Was gonna just hit up rock auto and rebuild the old one that was in it last time.

It had no serious internal damage, it was just packed up with sludge and ****.

Your local pull a part should have something for next to nothing with a core.

I find it hard to believe that a natural drop could cause any destruction on an auto tranny.

Well I mean.... I am running a 39.5 tall, 15 wide tire that are cut like tractor tires on the ass end...
Lol

3500 rpms and slammed into drive will do damage

The trans that quit today is a pull apart trans, from a 93 GMC Jimmy.

I've killed a couple 700r4s, 4l60e's, and 10 bolts doing that same maneuver.
