So on lunch I walked up to the house and while munching on my pizza, I started looking at the overall progress... Steering angle is very nice. Won't need high steer I'm almost certain.
Rear drive shaft however is gonna need some work. When I welded down those 5/8 pads on top of the original 14 bolt bump stops to adjust for the 38.5 Centerpin distance, after the fact I noticed the original spring perches in the axle tube probably kicked the pinion up 5 or so more degrees than my pads do.
The driveshaft hanging is obviously on the ears of the yoke at the tailshaft.... So I think the simplest solution is to cut the factory bump stops I welded pads to off, and spin the pinion up until it's at the right angle for driveline engagement. Not a big deal.
Front I still can't determine because the s10 crossmember is keeping the driveshaft from hanging down. I still have to modify that.
On the list now is to bleed the s10's brake system clean (fluid is filthy, I never changed it or maintained it, just drove it and added it)
I probably boiled it a few times locking up a caliper on the rotor.
I have the front and rear brake extensions, none of that is a big deal.
Front driveline I might extend and balance myself. That'll never see high speed anyway.
I have access to a lathe (obviously)
I still have to put tubes in the front tires
Need to finish the steering arm, and need to buy some 1.5x.250 DOM and heims and setup my drag link (yes I know those are meant to be ran in double sheer)
And I need to buy another ps pump (I cut mine out long ago)
And get a junkyard steering box.
