After testing and research someone had installed a newer 7 wire switch so I when I replaced the switch I did the same thing not having the part number. I have the 5 wire switch on order . Also found out GM has discontinued this part

check your grounds and connections. I had that issue for awhile. I now use electrical connection cleaner and dielectric grease often.
