Hello all im new to the site but wanted to pick your brains on an electrical issue. I have a 1987 v20 with a 350 and it will crank but wont start. I checked all the fuses and the 3a crank fuse has no power. I know this seems pretty obvious (run the wire out and check it) but the weird part is i drove it an hour home and it ran fine. I parked it for a week and then had the issue. I was just wondering if anyone has had an issue like this in the past.

Not sure but the crank fuse might only have power when cranking. Even tho its fuel injected its still just an engine, start with the basics fuel, compression and timed spark. Since compression usually doesn't change in the course of a week of sitting start with easy and cheap then move to hard and expensive. Its cranking so is there spark, usually with tbi you can see if its spraying fuel by just looking while its cranking.

First thing is check for spark. It's very common for the ignition module to go. I keep an extra in my truck because of this.

I had the same thing happen to me over the summer. Drove perfect to my friends house then when I tried to start it up again it would just spin. It ended up being the pickup coil and the ignition module on the distributor.
