The harness isn't bad to do yourself if you have the patience and can deal out about 6-8 hours of your time. If not, ask around to see if someone in your area does them. If they do, they'll prolly throw in removing the VATS for you in the "bundle". Locally I've seen anywhere from $250-$300 for the wiring harness/VATS removal with you providing the harness.
I did mine and have done a few others, my recommendation was more for someone that feels overwhelmed by the task. I have seen too many people quit a project because of the wiring.

Totally agree. We've got a few people around that do them and thought at least look locally as well to help support them. My local guys have given me some good info free of charge.

No harm meant :)

Found a 350, will need to be rebuilt, it has a casting number of 14010207. From what i see its a 80-85 350 with a 2 or 4 bolt main. Still doing some more research on it.
