Sorry if this is the wrong forum, but I am having a hard time finding hood hinges to fit my 73 K10. I ordered a new set that is supposed to fit 73-80 and they are not even close.
My existing ones which are shot, have approx 11.25" center to center bolt holes for the hinge to hood part. The new 73-80 hingest measure 8"
The three that bolt to the inside of the fender arent close either. The existing hinges have a much larger spread than the new 73-80.
Looking at all the other catalogs they show 73-80 but I did see one supplier on Ebay (out of stock) that listed 73-74 hinges.
Am I missing something?
Thanks

ive heard they are peculiar but I dont remember how
Are your fenders in good shape? Iirc early fenders had a bad rusting problem, later fenders would solve the fitment if you needed some

I have a 74 K5 Blazer..... here are a few shots of the engine bay and a closer shot of my hinge. Maybe you can compare and contrast. Feel free to reach out if you need any more pics. MK

Thanks Mike. Those shots particularly where the hinge bolts to the inside of the fender looks just like mine. Sadly, I boxed up the pair I bought and sent back to Charlotte today.

If you would, could you measure the distance of the two hinge to hood bolts? Mine are about 11.25 inches, the ones I bought for 73-80 are 8 inches.

Thanks

All, Thank you very much for your responses. I figured this out and it was entirely my mistake.
The place that offered the 73-74 hood hinges (post 3) canceled my order and refunded my money because they are not available, so I was back to square one.
It wasnt until I got an email asking me to review the hinges that I had bought (and returned) that I realized my mistake. Turns out I ordered 67-72 hinges.
Ended up ordering the 73-80 hinges and they fit perfectly.
Sorry for the confusion and trouble, and I really do appreciate everyone's response.
Thanks
