Further to my comment above about the plastic bushing and grommet for the shift lever on the steering column, I have found the correct piece. Gr, 4.037 #1394293.

I bought two, so I have one extra that is for sale for what I paid for it. $11.00 free shipping.

Left to right - wrong insert and rubber bushing, My worn plastic, new plastic, new rubber.

Rag joint done. No biggie. All assembled up to and including Shift lever housing. Waiting for one part for ignition housing to assemble it. Hope it gets here today.

Now studying Eddy 1405 and air conditioning. Never messed with AC before. Always had a friend who knew. Will start new threads for carb and for AC and will update my window thread as I do stuff.

I didn't buy it to be pretty. Prior owner removed all trim and emblems. Looks like a thin layer of bondo over all of body. Paint not too bad. Right color (white) for Arizona summers.

Been there before! Coulda swore up and down the block that you placed the order a week or so ago and been wondering why its taking so long!

Put the steering column in truck sans ignition housing. Looks good. Now I get to take it back out because I forgot to put NSS and ignition switch on. Easier to take it back out than to work under dash. Oh well.

Checked transmission linkage under truck. More worn out and missing and rubed up parts. New parts ordered. Got one today. Another on the way. When this goes back together it will be all new steering column and transmission shifter linkage.

Still looking for OEM steering wheel.
