FWIW On Dodge pu's when I replaced the "bowl" (body) I drilled and tapped it for a zerk. Then you could lube it lightly every once in a while

Also I'm stuck with part 7805365 BEARING, steering column.

Is it just one piece of plastic, or an assembly.

Jim,

If I remember correctly, part 7805365 Bearing is just a singular plastic piece. One column I had was that clear plastic, another one was a opaque white/beige one.

I believe the shroud you are looking for connects directly to the shift bowl. It's pretty much an aesthetic part but it also does provide the wiring a bit of protection from any accidental wear.

I'll grab a photo for you.

Jim,

Here' a couple shots of what I believe is considered to be the "lower shroud." It's connected directly to the upper shroud that actually engages the shift tube. The lower shroud is just a cover for aesthetics and protecting any moving parts and/or wiring.

Thanks for the help Christian. But I was a little stupid last night. OK, maybe a lot.

The part I was missing is attached to the shifter housing. I didn't have it in front of me last night. Going by memory. But I can see this part also controls the shift indicator needle.

And the plastic part works differently than I thought.

So I'm back A-OK.

Again thanks for the photos.

Doing it the first time is always the worst.

By the way, nice steering wheel.

Bottom piece I thought I didn't have. Firmly attached to shift housing.

It's only a trial assembly because it forgot to put the firewall seal plate on first.

Coated worn areas of automatic transmission shift rods with JB Weld. Hardening overnight. Will check in morning how it turned out. Also filled gouged hole in shift housing. No clue if this will work.

Yeah, yeah.... pictures tomorrow.

Gotta figure out how transmission kickdown works. It's all rubed up at the carb - Edlebrock Performer 600, manual choke (the performance model). It sits on adapter on stock spreadbore manifold. Gotta de-performance it and get some better gas mileage. Love to trade it for a spreadbore model. But that's another thread.

Soon to get to driver door. Window don't work. Yet another thread.
