18x10 front and 18x12 rear who's done this? Look inside.

I did not see a wheel and tire forum here. So i posted here.

Ok, time for a new look. Time to get away from the Mexican truck look with 15x10 front and rear LOL.
Before you freak out, I'm hispanic so calm down...

I dont want to do 20's or 22's. EVERYBODY is doing this. I figure the 18's will look just right and have some meat for tires so I can drive this
thing hard. Its like everyone has moved away from 17's and 18's so im trying to stand out here when I pull up to a meet or show.
I think the 18's look good. What you think??

you dont see many or any c10 with 18's anymore. I want to avoid rubber band tires.

I found these wheels for for $1485.00 a piece. I think it will suit it well being a step side

After seeing enough badass autocross cars and trucks in recent years, I've become fond of wide 18's. 335's are the cat's meow, lol.

I agree. Im going to call BC FORGED tomorrow if they are open and pull the trigger. I think the 18's look just right
and enough tire with a 335/30 that I dont have to slow down for every ant hill or crack on the road!
I looked all over online with no luck on 73/87 with this wheel size setup. I know alot of people dont like step sides,
But I bet this wheel size combo will be killer looking on a step side. Of course I'll be lowering the truck also

I don't like 20s, 22's, etc. I think the 18's look great, especially on a stepside.

I'd like to do similar. I have the 18s on mine already and love the look but would like wider front & rear.

Must be the width or?? Because those orange 18s look like 20s.

Buddy has 18s on 2 of his c10s. Not near as wide. They don’t look “big”.
If that’s the look you’re going for, don’t need forum approval. That’s basically bait for the boomers who think anything that doesn’t look like the 70s or 80s is evil! lol.

The orange wheels are 18's. 335/30/18 is the size of choice by all the fast autocross guys.

I know. They just look bigger with them super low profile small diameter tires.

Ok, I'm on the same page now lol.

I guess it just depends on what you are used to seeing. On the average lowered C10, I think they would normally look like really small diameter tires. But seeing them all the time on Camaros, Corvettes and Chevelles, they look like normal to me on that C10 too.

rubber band tires really pull you around on the grooved big truck highways around here, just a consideration.

18s look much bigger on a '67-72 than they do on a squarebody. I've debated this for my truck for a long time for whenever I do the suspension since all the fast AutoX guys run 18s and 335/30s but I HATE the way 18s look on a square, they're wayyyy too small IMO. Especially if the truck isn't on a full chassis so it can be stupid low. Since I have front/rear kits on a stock chassis and can't afford to truly compete, I'm sticking to 20s.

Yellow/white one is Level 7's truck they built a few years ago on a No Limit IRS chassis. Blue/white '72 is on a Finch Apex Predator chassis. Blue/white square is my buddy Keith's truck, stock chassis with Detroit Speed front and rear kits. All are 18x10 or 18x12 and 335/30s.

The '72 looks perfect, the wheels fill out the arches nicely. The squarebody wheel arches are just too big/too wide front to back for 18s to look right in. Just IMO of course.

I really like the look of the 18's. If they look too small, just run a slightly bigger tire. Would probably improve ride quality anyway.

I really like how the squares look too, I don't think the wheel/tire combo looks too small at all on them. Or maybe I just like the look of a purpose built race truck and my mind overlooks what the combo looks like from a cosmetic standpoint. I dunno really. Either way, it looks good, imho.
