Holy crap, performance issues he says. I think there's less hammered rear ends at a gay bar... I've seen them break but never have I seen them blow apart like that.

They got the Gov Bomb name for a reason. All it takes is one of the little moving parts to come loose and get lodged somewhere, then KABLOOEY! It's usually seen in the semi-floater variants though, not the 14ff.

It really comes down to what you use the truck for. If a 2wd DD then a open diff would be fine. If a hot rod probably a posi loc of some kind. But if a 4wd that sees offroad put a locker in it, a Yukon or something. If it were me I'd pay the big money and get an ARB air locker and on board air setup.

It's NOT a FF. If it's an 8-lug truck, then yes its a 14 Bolt SF. If its a 6 lug, I don't have enough info or knowledge to tell.

the vin derivative on the frame says c20 1979 but its 6 lug which i thought was light 4wd 3/4 I dont know what im saying anyway, its probbably used on them too. Its a stepside box trailer but the stepside i dont think is the factory box

^No 6 lug 3/4 ton squarebodys.
And no such thing as a 6 lug FF that I’m aware of.
But it either has the axle shafts/hubs protruding or it doesn’t. Can you not see the ends of the axles?

It doesn’t have a removeable shaft no. I’m wondering if it’s a 12 bolt? The frame doesn’t seem very thick and the only photos I have don’t have the wheels in shot so I’m wondering if I’m misremembering the lug pattern as 6. Ima go check need to grab the weed whipper
