So I wasn't really sure where to put this, but it's been on my mind. I try to follow the community guidelines, but this is a GM full size related issue, with my 14 bolt.
The rear end in my s10.
Some of you may or may not have seen/been watching my s10 1 ton axle swap.
Im running a 87-91.5 kingpin 60 from a f350 in the front, and 99-06 14 bolt ff in the rear.
It's a little more beefier than the tried and true classic 14 bolt, bigger axle tubes, disc brakes, but same carrier, same ring gear, same shafts.
The axle has a posi unit in the back. Sometimes it likes to spin both tires, sometimes it only spins 1 tire.
Yes, the 4.3 spins the 39.5's. LOL
Any suggestions as to why it occasionally works?
Should I look into clutch packs for the unit?
Im not a diff expert, I know a little bit.
Maybe someone can give me some advice? I'm aiming to have a TRUE 4x4. Not 3x4, or in some peoples cases, 2x4.
Front diff I just did a locker install yesterday on. Just need to address the rear end when I get the time.
Thanks in advance guys.
