Want Brights on All Four Headlights

good job, relays can be really helpful. but if you used a diode a few of these would have worked. http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?partnumber=6A-1KV

New guy with Audio and Custom fab

not all amps can handle being bridged. even if they can its not always worth it. distortion is raised and you only gain 3 db (which happens when power is doubled). i guess its worth it if you are an spl guy. i enjoy music not test tones but thats just me. admittedly the added distortion isnt...

    Amplified Subwoofer in one

someone knows what theyre talking about. :bowroflwerd6: i thought about pulling out the fuse rating x voltage trick. glad you did so i could get some support here. a rule of thumb i have heard from my uncle (electrical engineer) is multiply fuse x voltage by .5 for class a, .75 for class a/b...

    Amplified Subwoofer in one

for 200$ you can get a really good sub setup. one that i'd be jealous of too. an alpine swr-8 ported with a cheap amp. youd have to make a box yourself but its worth it. and itd sound good. even if somehow that boss thing put out 1400 watts, the sub itself for sure wouldnt be able to handle it...

    Amplified Subwoofer in one

id bet money that the included amp is NOT 1400 watts, even if they advertise it. boss is cheap and tricky. i bet their claim is 1400 peak. that is a meaningless claim. id bet money it can only put out a few hundred watts on a bench test. ive heard so many bad things and how cheap some of their...

    scratches

so i have some pretty deep scratches but none big enough to warrant touchup paint. however the deepest cutting compound i could get at autozone cant quite get em out either.... so what do you guys think i should do? these scratches are from tree limbs and twigs from trail riding. Would using a...

    help. engine lugging/skipping

well i supposed it was possible. i didnt think they had the heat shields and plastic wire protectors on some of the wires for nothing. but i guess thats just for long term protection

    help. engine lugging/skipping

Uh never really done a full tuneup just worked on things as I see them. Probably a good idea tho... What do you mean what wires? Idk what brand they are or what type I changed them a long time ago

    help. engine lugging/skipping

Ok so right after i completed my header/exhaust project i encountered a new problem :Frustrated: my truck lugs and seems to skip at about 40 when it shifts into 4th. it happens slightly when it first shifts into 3rd too. this doesnt happen at idle or at higher rpms. just when the engine is under...

    Rough Country?

i couldnt even torque it to their specification of 16-30 ftlbs (i forget which) before it stripped. i knew it was probably cheap so i was careful to do what they said but really? thats pathetically weak and i wouldnt want it to hold my pack together.

    Rough Country?

i personally was disappointed with my tuff country add a leaf kit. the centering pin was basically made of crap and stripped with no effort at all. i had to grind down the head of a grade 8 bolt and that worked nicely. but seriously it would cost them what, a quarter to include a grade 8...

    Rough Country?

My question Is why the heck do the cheaper kits tend to be stiff? It seems if a manufacturer made a proper lift with a soft spring rate it would require less raw materials....

    Blown Shocks?

i'd vote do it yourself its pretty straightforward. a stiff suspension is not necessarily dangerous. when mine got stiffer i felt like i had better control and the truck didnt roll as much in the corners.

    Blown Shocks?

:boxed: no wonder you have ride issues... i have an add a leaf and its stiff, i cant imagine riding in that thing
