    Engine and transmission are in. Transmission lines are run to a new transmission cooler. Shift linkage is "mocked up". Just have to put a little bend in the Lokar kit shaft. Fuel just need 2 hose ends to be cut to length and fittings installed to connect to the fuel sending unit.

    BTW..... 'member when I said that I re wired the truck about a month ago? I am so sick of wiring that I cheated and bought a modified engine harness from speedway motors. I started to pull mine apart and nearly lost my "Christian testimony". The weather has been hovering in single digits here...

    I am an inch away from lining up the engine mount holes so when I'm done with that please put the next few engine and trans install steps in order for me..... 1. trans install 2. wiring install 3. fuel system install 4. cooling system (rad and elec. fans) 5. bumper thingy removal

    My nephew has a 70s either 3/4 or 1 ton with a 292 in it. I think its got only about 80k original miles on it. Flatbed stake side. It was sitting in a clients barn for 20 years and we rescued it. this pic is just after we got it started for the first time.

    I'm using compressed air in the spark plug hole for each cylinder to hold the valves up. The question is, should I hear any air leaking inside the head? I do hear it and I wonder if I need a valve job or if it is normal?

    Cam is in, I painted the engine and hung the headers on because they look cool. Still have to change out the springs. Friday looks like the day we do surgery on the truck
