New swap project in the planning stage right now

I figured they had. I am wondering what exactly has to be done. It's probably in my best interest to use the short bed frame I have and put the 3/4 ton axles under it and sit the body on that. trying to be lazy.

New swap project in the planning stage right now

I have a few questions for you all. I have a couple square body trucks that have been waiting their turn at the table (so to speak) or their turn at the chopping block as it may turn out. I have 83 model C20 pickup with a good body I am considering building into a round eye K10 with K20 axles. I...

    Cam swaps

can it be done, yes. should it, well, up for debate. at a minimum I pull the front wheels off and lay it on the ground. even then your back and chest will be sore from bending and laying on the fenders and having to reach all the way in. I myself would pull it. Last cam I did in the car was an...

    seat swapping?!

I cut out the humps in the floor that cleared the factory fuel tanks (removed already) and welded it all back in level with the floor so I could install 2003 Chevy pickup seats like I have in my work truck and my 06 Duramax. Now will have plenty of room to spare.

Short and Square...Glad to be here!

Cool. Yeah, I agree and want to follow the original placement of my side stripe including the trim with a black line through the middle. Gonna try this new House of Color chrome paint for the main trim color. At $160 per pint it better be good.

CE usually always denotes a Crate Engine that was replaced as an over the counter warranty replacement engine. I have had a couple over the years.

Need help getting the truck back on the road

It's gotta Suck, Compress, Bang, & Blow. See if it's got spark to the spark plug wire by pulling a wire and putting a Phillips head screwdriver in the wire and near a metal surface. Have someone turn it over while you look for spark. Gas, gotta have it. I would probably pull the line off the...

Short and Square...Glad to be here!

Welcome to the group. nice truck. I have to ask a question on the trim along the side. On the front fender the striping goes down about 3-4" below the marker light and does not line up vertically with the side trim behind the tire all the way back. Is this how it's supposed to be? I am asking...

Rebuild 454 or Swap in Cummins, Powerstroke, or SBC.

Sounds to me like you might be best advised to listen to your Uncle and buy an engine with a warranty from a reputable company. Stay away from fly by nights. Pull one out, drop in the new one. "On the road again".
