Hey guys, my dad went to the paint store yesterday to buy some paint for my truck and they said their info didn't go back that far. Anybody know how to get paint mixing info? It is an 86 GMC, color is 61 Doeskin Tan. I also realize I've got to get my build thread started before the truck... -

bearing buddies
My trailer has the Tie-Down Super Lube hubs which pushes the old grease out the front when you pump in new grease. Not an cheap retro-fit like the bearing buddies but I feel good knowing new grease is getting all the way in there and that any water or contamination gets pushed out. -

C30 vs. C10 - help, please
+1, that is an awesome looking truck and sounds incredible. One easy thing to look for for 1/2 ton (C10) to 1 ton (C30) would be 6 lug wheels on the C10, 8 lugs on the C 30, plus beefed up suspension with different spring mounting. broken starter?
If it happens to be a broken gear tooth or two on the flex plate, you can turn the engine by the damper in front and then get the starter to engage with good teeth. A tap or two with a BFH are worth a try before changing the starter.- GTME94

3/4 ton vs 1ton
Here is the VIN decoder from LMC catalog. Sixth digit will tell you which series. 1500, 2500, 3500 Also C2500 with has a C6P option code (look on the glovebox door options list) that added bigger brakes and stuff.- GTME94
