Does anybody hold literature about 454s being an option in 1981 C30? Official sales catalogs, RPO lists or anything?

A great resource for that information is the GM Heritage Center website. Look for vehicle information kit, then Chevrolet Trucks. You can get a .pdf file of the specific model year you are interested in.

For my '86 it had tons of information, all the trim levels, standard and optional content, powertrain info, and tons more.
