I have good luck with AMD and the parts fitting well on a 69 Chevelle. I have also ordered windows and such and have great service from them.

    Bonanza Badged K10

It is another one of those “Needs a tune-up” ads. I asked him if he would drive it the 3 hours south, he declined!

Power window/heater has no power to main fuse block - 85 K20 suburban.

I’m thinking 3 RED 2 feeds the power to the ignition switch and the switch feeds both orange wires. Really think you should just cancel your trip, take the column apart, again, and find the issue. Think how rewarding that could be.

Power window/heater has no power to main fuse block - 85 K20 suburban.

The red wire, 3 RED 2, traces back to the fusible link attached at the junction block on the firewall, hence being hot or “BAT” power. It is spliced enroute to the ignition and feeds several fuses. Still working on the oranges...

    Head identification

Any paperwork regarding inspection, magnaflux, etc.? For years I have read those heads are prone to cracking. I’d say if you are not looking for a performance engine use ‘em.

    Fuel lines.

From Hyper Racing page: “PTFE has supreme chemical resistance and will not break down even after years of use with methanol. Regular rubber (EDM or NBR, which is what almost all fuel lines are made from) begins to break down even before one year wreaking havoc on your fuel delivery system and...

    Winch Bumper wanted!!

I just welded up an Embark series rear from MOVE but do not like the looks of any of their bumpers for the front. I am leaning toward this: https://www.rlcweldfab.com/products/custom-winch-bumper-for-chevy-gmc-trucks-1973-1987

    Suburban Project- Need Help!

Hopefully you do not find a pushrod wedged between the crank and the case like I did with my 455 Buick!

    Suburban Project- Need Help!

I would remove the engine, tear it down, see what’s what. Based upon what you, or someone with more knowledge sees, you can keep looking for a bargain replacement or have it rebuilt. I assume you don’t need it right away, so you can save your nickels in the mean time. Obviously, buying a used...

Wondering if I could get some honest opinions

Yeah, saw an 85 with new paint and interior, very low miles warm 350, straight, sell for $15,000 in Arizona.

    2WD to 4x4 conversion?

You are in for a lot of work and hassles, but hey, keeps a guy out of the bars! If I were crazy enough to do it again ( I am putting 1981 C20 metal on a 1979 K30 frame/running gear) I would make sure my donor was the same year. That saves some issues.

    Modifying Brake Pedal

Just going through the pedal swap thing here. Going from vacuum to hydro. Hydro pedal is longer, pin/holes different locations, rod “studs” different diameter.

Who's worked with lead vs bondo?

I have been using 1” wide fine mesh fiberglass cloth and POR15 with good success. The mesh bridges well and the POR dries very hard. Used the silver POR on the rear window frame of my ‘73 Riviera project.

Making my 1990 Suburban bullet proof. What do I need to do?

I’ll start with making sure you have good load range E tires, two spares, air pump and a plug kit. After I created an access panel in the floor of my Tahoe I carried a spare fuel pump, too. Don’t know if your model has the in-tank pump.

    Hydroboost Pushrod Kit Source

I was thinking that pushrod kits were made out of unobtainium, until I found a source in California. PowerBrakes.com has kits for both hydroboost bore sizes, e.g., 1.6” and 1.8”.

Ambitious, for sure, but you will have what you want in a great looking truck. I did not see upgraded towing mirrors on your list! If you need something from the Peninsula, let me know.
