    I've thought about a cab swap or just do a lot of metal work on my k10. Depends if I can find a good one without spending a fortune. What are you doing about the VIN numbers? 73-80 (IIRC) is by the door jam, 81+ is by the windshield.

    I just looked at some pics from my ls swap. I have purple going to ignition power and gray going to sender/gauge. It's brown on the truck. And yes, yokes will be the same if stock.

    Similar to the setup on my k5. Came with 3.08's then I swapped for 10 bolt 3.73's from another k5. I now have a 3.73 14BSF rear from a 94 2500 light duty Chevy 4x4 in 6 lug. Came with a limited slip but as you mention hard to find.

    IMO, I would stay with a 73-80 cab. Also the Vin location is by the striker where the 81+ is by the window. BTW, bed is not an issue. Gas caps from 73-78 are round. 78+ are flaps. Tailgate changed a little in 81+

    hmm...it's possible the gear jumped and you are stuck. have you tried to loosen the 4 screws that hold the motor/regulator to the door? it may give you enough room to maneuver.     Good to hear. Starting to have this problem on my R10. I thought it was warped rotors and this seems to confirm. No vibration while driving, no matter the speed only braking. What brand did you use?

    Nice work. Reminds me of my k5 build but without cab corners. With all those spot welds it will be 10x stronger than factory. BTW, I still owe you a pic of the lowered dually I mentioned the other day. It wasn't there when I went to take a pic but I'm sure it will be back soon.

    I would check the TV cable first. Doesn't take much to become out of adjustment. Also it will burn up your trans very quickly if not set properly. Can you think of anything you may have done to the carb or that area? Cable could also stretched or come lose inside the trans.

    I used Richmond on my 78 k10 12 bolt. No complaints. Also there two versions of Richmond. I believe excel is the cheaper one.

    You reminded me I need to finalize my AC setup. I think I asked before but what did you use for the compressor, bracket and AC lines? I have a LS 6.0 (LQ9). I could go with the R4 setup (would only need a bracket) but really want a Sanden.

    I did the same with PB blaster. pulled the plugs, sprayed each piston and let if sit for a week. sprayed a few times during the week. engine would then turn. put a starter, fuel pump and used a plastic gas tank for fuel.     Welcome and nice truck. The only other I would do to the body is change the mirrors. They take away from the lines of the truck but just my opinion.

    Was going to suggest the same (ICM) since you tried all the others. temp sensor is usually the first thing I try. I had a similar issue and thought it was ICM, but turned out to be the pickup coil. It was very intermittent.
