FI pump question

I’m in the process of installing a rebuilt 1991 350 TBI motor and a 1989 rebuilt 700R4 transmission in my 1984 C10. I currently have a 305 with 700R4 that is original to the truck. I bought an 87 FI tank with an 87 in tank pump. My question is, the grey wire runs to the power, can I connect the purple wire to the wire that connects to my old sending unit? One more dumb question, will the yoke from my 84 700R4 work on the 1989 700R4? Thank you in advance and I hope everyone is ready for Christmas tomorrow.

I just looked at some pics from my ls swap. I have purple going to ignition power and gray going to sender/gauge. It's brown on the truck.
And yes, yokes will be the same if stock.
