    i would definitely determine the method of sealing. taper, washer, o ring, threads, etc. it maybe just needed more torque! Or the threads were junk and it went in off kilter, etc. so you need to drain it. get a clean oil pan so you can reuse

    Wont the alternator exciter wire be resisted ignition when the key is in on, not crank ofc? because the it provides that key on, and once the engine is running the alternator outputs the full running voltage and that turns off the light since there is no longer a ground on the light bulb

    vaseline will break the seal down esp if its one of the more sensitive to petrol kinds of construction
