Hey guys. I have a quadrajet 17085001. It’s garbage, what can I replace it with in terms of another quadrajet.

What's wrong with the carb? 85 -87 with that number. Unless water sat inside or one of the housings is damaged should be rebuildable.

I have this one off my 85 - fresh rebuild by Mountain Man FI in Arkansas. Maybe someone can tell if its a match?

As in upgrade or replacement there's a knock off new for 180 on Amazon wonder if they are any good

I stripped the fuel filter inlet

They still have repair kits. Look on Ebay for a NOS Thexton deepseize repair fitting. Look at the design,you will see why they are the best.
