just picked up a 82K20, needs lots of work but that's why I bought it. From South Louisiana, Scott LA. down by Lafayette. Did some Jeep(chevy drivetrain) rock crawling when lived in Texas hill country but now back home and need another project. truck has a old 350/350/208 but all that is not staying. Looking at LS swap or traditional BBC. waiting on some friends with leads on either one. Hey will a LS bolt up to my TH350?

The TH3560 will not bolt up to the LS motors. Get a whole donor so you have the transmission and transfer case along with the engine.
You won't be able to use the NP263 or... without going to a Dodge or Ford front axle because the cases used in the GMT800 trucks are LH drop.... you can likely bolt up the NP208 with a clocking ring and be just fine.
Some folks will scream that you "need" an NP205 but I would only consider one if you were doing seriously hardcore offroad.
The NP205 has a relatively shallow 1.96:1 low range and it's heavy... You'll need a 2:1 NP203 range box bolted up to the NP205 as a doubler to get under the 2.72:1 low range of the much lighter NP208... The doubled NP203/205 combo is 3.97:1 when you're all the way in low:low and you get two usable low range gears... there are actually three low range gears which would be kinda cool if 1.96:1 and 2.01:1 weren't close enough to make them essentially the same ratio.
