I know this is an old thread revival but could you use the 40 gallon tank to do this same mod and also how did the filler neck in the bed look after finishing?

I believe the 40 gallon is too big to fit in the space.

there are MANY ways to finish off the filler neck. I still wouldn't consider mine finished off but it is a project for the future to truly finish it off. The sky is the limit on it and is only limited by creativity and/or skill needed. Mine is currently set up just to be functional. It'll be cleaned up at some point to be a nicer set up.

For what it's worth, the plan is to eventually route it to behind the taillight and have the taillight flip out. I saw it over on SB.com and was a pretty trick setup. I just need to buckle down and get her done. I'm almost there as is.

I'd say for a fact the 40 will not fit a short bed for certain. But I'm going to sure try on a long bed. I'm dropping the tank on this burb anyway cuz its three quarters full. That's damn near 30 gallons of fuel worth over $90.

Run a rubber fuel line off the line at the TBI and run it right into the other truck with the pump. That's how I emptied the '89 tank into Silvy.

Awesome. I was wondering if that would work. I guess I can run about 8 gallons left the fuel pump rest. Then do another 8 to 10 gallons and let it rest. I don't want to burn up the fuel pump just letting it run free for all for 30 gallons of fuel.

Yeah that won't hurt, but it should be a walk in the park for the pump since it isn't under pressure.

Wishful thinking. I disconnected the fuel line I have a hose on it TV is on and it's only pumping fuel when I'm turning the key.

I do believe it's the main feed line to the back of the TBI coming in from the passenger side of the block right??? I'm pretty sure that's it.

There should be 2 lines and the look the same, one is a return line.

Well ****. Went out and disconnected the other line, and NO, i'm on the right line. If pushes some fuel out while in the cranking mode, but not much and none at all in just the ON position. I was sure hoping it would work.

Speaking of fuel lines. I guess I should try to try and save all the fuel line I can from the Burb for the K10 huh? Cuz it needs to be high pressure line. I'll have to replace all the fuel line on the K10 to be TBI compatible.
