Wiper Switch Conversion

I have a steering column without the wiper switch going into an 84 c10 that originally had a column switch. Can I put a wiper switch on the older column ?

I think you can if you have tilt- it would be a matter of swapping all the parts upwards of the tilt housing. Non tilt I am not sure on.

Might be easier to get a used correct column if available just to be safe.
