I was sporting RWL back in '84.

I wish I had pics of my 77 Olds Cutlass with Camaro wheels and RWL tires.

That is true. You have white letters you better keep them clean or they start looking crappy

I like RWL and the outlined also. I don't always run them out though, occasionally I think black looks better on the vehicle. The Blazer and stepside both have the out, but the 4x4 Burb has them in, I just thought it looked better for some reason. I like RWL on my '69 Impala, but oddly I like blackwalls on my '70 Impala.

I just use soapy water and a red scotchbrite pad, works great.

I had the hardest time deciding which way to go with this when I got my tires. If you're going for the classic (era appropriate) look WLs are the way to go. Got 'em on my Chevelle too.

I put White letters, outline or solid OUT on anything that looks good sporty.

Basically I want letter out on anything I don't want a wide whitewall on. Like say a 1970 Caddy sedan deville, no white letters, wide whitewalls instead.

My old 77, Absolutely no other choice than letters out.

My old 87, White letter only!

my 78. no other choice, letters out the only possibility.

My old 73 caprice sedan... White walls only, POSSIBLY letters... if the right wheels, but letters are sporty, wide white walls are classy.

My old 69 mustang... White letters are the only thing possible... period.

I even put Yellow Letters on my 2001 Focus ZTS. Looked much much better and messed with peoples' heads... ha

I've got an 08 impala now with the factory blackwalls on it... if i can find a set white letters will be going on there one day when they wear out.

I don't care for blackwalls unless they are real low profile, like letters on everything sporty and wide white walls on everything classy (EXCEPT NO WHITEWALLS ON ANY TRUCKS NEWER THAN 1959, EVER).
