wheel speed sensors on a dana 44 ??

has anyone done this before

I want to keep the t case in my 07 it is the autotrac

I am going to do a solid axle swap I just found a ford dana 44 for 100 bucks

Where would you put the toothed ring for the sensor to read? Without running a CV joint for it to be attached to?

so far all the info I can find they put it on the back side of the hub under the brake rotor.

That's kinda cool. Never seen that before. I would think that if they can do it to a d60, it should be possible on a 44.

Your going to need to talk to the guy from Thorparts.com
He's the one who enabled me to install Hummer H3 brakes on my old 88 suburban.
If you can use the complete chevy large bearing outers on the ford axle, you are good to go. He basically converts the 10 bolt chevy front axle to use H3 brakes and speed sensors ( I only went with brakes, no ABS). He machines the hub to fit the tone wheel and brake rotor. Then using his bracket, the H3 wheel sensor fits right in. Look him up, was great to deal with.
