Wheel bearing exploded!

I thought the same and currently have it at 35lb/ft but the place I bought the bearings from gave me a number of 75-85lb/ft
I should mention that my axle shaft is 35 spline and 6 lug

If you know the thread size there are standard tables for torque. You're not trying to hold the Titanic together, so 35 lb/ft sounds fine.

Yeah, the 35 lb/ft sounds about right. If your still a little concerned, maybe some blue thread lock too.

Thanks guys.
My concern was not tight enough or too tight and smash my seal and add unwanted pressure to the bearings, causing them to lock up and explode again.

Just had the right front bearing explode on my 77 K20

Not pretty , but limped it home

$375 for new spindle, bearings ,hub rotor, and locking rings

Fun swapping it in the driveway in 37 degree weather

Least it stopped raining ....
And the local 4 wheel parts store was able to get everything overnight delivery

So now my other side, which never had issue (Rear pass) is now leaking.
I'm wondering if I did not press bearing on enough? What is this I see in some videos that people use Permatex near seal to prevent leaks?
