How do you tell the difference visually between hub and lug centric. Im looking at getting spacers for my rig. I rub the drag link when making a tight right turn.

I am not sure you can tell without them on the hub/studs. That center portion needs to be a machine fit to the shoulder on your axle or rotor

You can tell by the way it is made.
Hub-centric:
There is a lip on the hub of the truck that will fit into the rear spacer. Then on the front of the spacer there is a lip that will fit into the wheel. As seen in these two pics.
Depending on who you ask you will get different answers.
Some say it supports the weight of the vehicle. Some say it is only for helping to center the wheel.

Lug-centric:
This picture you can see does not have the lip, everything is centered/supported by the lug studs, not the hub.

Personally, I wouldn't run any lug centric items on any vehicle.

79dentside - those were hub centric on the axle side but not on the wheel side.
The set that 84 M1008 posted appear to be hub centric on both sides.

Sorry for the late reply. Yes they are hub centric on both the axe hub side and the wheel flange side.

@Scott91370 thank you for showing the difference. Inwas unaware. I had adapters on a ferd and they were lug centric.

mine are lug centric, still never had an issue....

Thank you all for the info. I definitely appreciate the advice and precautions offered. I will definitely consider them, now not sure what I want to do.

I wanted to put small set on my rear to get the tires about the same stance as the fronts. All the talk about them coming off, them not being machined right and getting vibration, breaking off towing. Throwing more crap...esp now that it's painted I don't need more to destroy the paint.
