Short bed = more money
4x4 = more money
Blazer/Jimmy = more money

If it's a 2WD long bed, scrap value (no offense to the 2wd longbed owners here, just being realistic.)

I'll sell you mine Dave. It only needs everything, except a motor which works perfectly. Oh and there is absolutely no chance it will pass VA inspection, or smog. Wait, I'm not doing a very good job of selling here am I? LOL

These are all long bed pickups with some rust that I can from a distance when driving by. Think there's one from 73-80 and the other 3-4 are the 81-87 style.

Why wont it pass va inspection. Wait WV is more strict state inspection than va is.

In the southwest you can score a K-10 for 500-1000. Condition varies, most have sat outside for years neglected like mine did.

Of coarse the trucks that have had some work done are worth more, good paint and interior bring up the value.

Some pickups like crazy4offroads K-10 look rough but have a incredible amount of fab work and premium components that would value it a **** load higher than just a regular K-10.

To put it as basic as possible if it has faded paint, worn out interior and a complete drivetrain with an engine that cranks over it will be worth 500-1000 here.

I found a really nice special edition K-10 spirit of 76 that was un molested with a 400. this truck was complete in every way, a few days of buffing the paint and this thing would have gone for many thousands..... The guy only wanted 700 bucks for it.

These pickups are becoming more popular, they are going up in price in Reno. I keep seeing more and more on the road, the 67-72 chevy trucks are becoming rare so our square body's are the next trend.

I salvaged what I could from it, but it wasn't much. Seats, grill trim, dash switch for tailgate window, and a couple other small items. Last I saw, the slider windows were still there though.

If in normal rotted condition then either should be scrapped but would give no more than $600 but would definitely need pics and more info to give an accurate answer. Very few people seek after 2wd long beds so like retro said they aren't worth much especially in poor, unrestored condition

2wd longbed trucks are actually popular around here. SB work trucks are still a common sight.

Obviously I like them but it seems like everyone and their brother wants a swb. I'd like a short bed at some point too but will never part with my long bed :) it's always refreshing to hear of people that like the lwb's :waytogo:

Bed length has never mattered much to me. Except for 1st gen S-10's, I actually like the longbed better.

Just out of curiosity... why would shortbeds be worth more than longbeds?
