As the title suggests what radiator are you using? Putting a 5.3 with electric fan or fans in a 87 V10.
Thanks!

Check out Tejas Steelworks. I've got their engine mounts, transmission mount and fan shroud made for dual 13" Spal fans on my truck. I'm using the Spectra CU730 factory replacement big block radiator in my '85. Also have the factory big block radiator cushings/bushings and the upper mount from LMC.

Works fantastic and keeps my truck cool even in the dead of summer in the deep south. Getting close to 50k miles on this setup without a glitch

I am running the stock heavy duty radiator that came with my Vortec/LS. You can cut out the lower radiator support out of the donor vehicle, with a little trimming to that it will bolt right over the C-10 radiator support in the stock location (use 3/4" spacers to lift it up a little) Then the posts on the bottom of the Vortec/LS radiator fall right in and then I took some bar stock and bent it in the vise to mount it to the C-10 upper core support. I am running a mechanical fan, but the stock electric fans fit as well (actually free up some room from the mechanical fan) As you can see in the pic the stock Vortec/LS coolant surge tank even works on the passenger fender with a bit more bracket bending of some bar stock from your local HD, Lowes or Ace.

Using stock 86 k10 rad with a fitting soldered in for the steam vent line a few inches below the cap. Windstar, TYC 620270, fan for cooling using the LS trucks fan control. Trim fan housing as necessary.
