What new tools have you got lately?

Air speed tester for finding out what these cooling fans are actually putting out.
Pretty nifty little doo dad for $30 on the Amazon.

Before we get to far with the new radiator in the Camaro, we wanted to know if there was any deeper issues.
So I found this little combustion tester as well on the Amazon for $21 and it will do 50 or so tests.
More than I will need to use hopefully...

That way we will know if the heads are leaking into the coolant before we put the new rad and water pump in.
Only have to take it apart the one time hopefully this way.

Is that the equivalent to the ones you get at parts stores? With the cylinder, the squeeze bulb and the blue fluid?

The impala trunk smells like China….aluminum 2 ton floor jack, riveter, ferrel nut riveter and a hvlp paint gun.

Picked up a Greenerd #3 arbor press for $20, someone cut up where the daisy wheel would go and missing handle, a Craftsman vise (made by Reed) and another sad vise for $5 each at the event I attended last weekend.

They all need some love and tlc but for those prices I got some room to work on them.

Picked up this blast cabinet this week on the cheap! Didn't really have the room for it, but I made it fit!

If you need new glass for the window, go to Lowes they will cut glass to what ever size you need. I run double pain in my cabinet so when I need to change out glass, I just change out the inside piece.

Thanks for the tip. Previous owner just put new glass in it, and I have a few tear-aways that I'll use up. I just put new seals around the opening this morning, trying to decide if I want to vent outside or into a bucket.

If you can go buy thr big dust collector from Harbor Frieght. It makes a world of difference. My cabinet came with a dust collector. It's so nice being able to see what you are cleaning.

It came with the dust collector from HF. But they vented it outside. The factory fan that came on top of the cabinet works great, but I have no collection source. I'm debating whether to cut a hole in my shop wall and vent it out the back, or into a bucket of some sort

My new vice made in Germany. Lots of forged parts with no play in any moving part. Nice detail: it can be driven with a 1/2 inch ratchet wrench.
