Let me know how you like the jack. The stability of the large plastic wheels concerns me.

I’ve lifted my older Cummins on various surfaces including concrete, dirt and gravel. Seems fine so far. Only time will tell.

It gets good reviews and is built to ASME-PASE standards, but who knows if it’s only tested in perfect conditions.

I always get jack stands in place asap and everything I lift with this is tall enough with the tires still on that it won’t fall on me while I’m throwing stands under it.

I’m with you though, I always wonder…especially after HF’s jack stand issues in the past. It’ll be nice when I get around to bolting my two post down. Though, they aren’t exactly fool proof either.

Anyone have or use one of these? I may be needing one of these with the column project. I won't get one unless I need to, but wondering what others have to say about it.

Not like it breaks banks or anything.... but $11 is $11 worthless dollars.
It's not needed. The pins are not that tight. I threaded a screw into the pin and used a nail puller

I know enough about carbs to be dangerous, but I'm definitely more used to Carter style carbs than Holley cuz that's what I always used in the past. Been running this current Holley for about 6 years now. Going to see if I can learn something.

I bought these Doyle wire cutters from Harbor Freight and they are excellent.
They are sharp and cut through all the different wires that are on a vehicle.

Off Amazon I purchased a couple sets of terminal pin tools and connectors.
As soon as they arrived, Max pulled the pin extractor out and started using it on the Camaro.
He says they work great.

I also picked up these waterproof connectors and Max says they work like champs as he just wired in his MSD digital box to his truck using them.

I used to read Vizard's books long ago.
Always packed with good tidbits of information.

I really like that automotive books are even still available. Sure, you have to order them online now... but available nonetheless.

My favorite part so far...

By about 1975 it looked as if fuel injection was about to spell the demise of the carb as a prime performance fuel delivery system. But, even today, the carb is a dominant feature of engines used for street performance and racing. So why are they still here and, if my guess is right, for at least the next 25 years? Because they work so well.

I wonder if they make a waterproof connection for the power wire for tachometer and distributor on the distributor right side? I could use one. I like those connections. Might have to get some.

if it's not getting soaked, dielectric grease may do the trick. Another source if your connector isn't in the amazon kit, mouser will have it along with the seals.....most likely GM approved or the exact same.

Popped my Marketplace cherry today and just couldn't resist for $40 and 30 miles of driving in to town for supplies for the critters that I needed to do anyway. So now I won't need to go on Monday. Winning!

And on edit, to the nice man in the wrong brand pickup truck, thank you for your generosity today.
